Signal Reads respects your privacy. We use Google Analytics (GA4) and a self-hosted, privacy-focused analytics tool (Umami) to understand how visitors use this site. We do not run third-party advertising trackers, and we do not sell, share, or rent any data to third parties.

What we collect

Google Analytics collects standard web analytics data — pages viewed, referrer, approximate location (country/region), device and browser type, and session duration — associated with a randomly generated client identifier, not your name or email. Umami separately records anonymous, aggregated traffic statistics with no cookies or persistent identifiers.

Cookies

Google Analytics sets first-party cookies (the _ga cookie family) to distinguish sessions and visits. These are standard measurement cookies, not used for advertising or cross-site tracking. Umami does not set any cookies.

Third-party services

We use Google Analytics (Google LLC) for traffic analytics — see Google's Privacy Policy for how Google handles this data. Article images are served from Cloudflare R2. Web fonts are loaded from Google Fonts. These services may log standard request metadata.

Your rights

If you are in the EU/UK and want any data we hold about you (we are unlikely to have any), or want a request actioned, contact us via the contact page. You can also opt out of Google Analytics tracking using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
